Fruit Side Plate
Hey everybody!
I cut up this plate of fruit for the family to enjoy during dinner. It took about 15 minutes to cut and prep. No special equipment needed, just a knife and cutting board! It was quite the variety. Strawberries, clementines, grapes, blue berries, a pazazz apple, a Bartlett pear, kiwi and a banana rounded out the plate. Produce is coming into season right now! It tastes great and the prices are much easier to swallow, compared to several months back. I understand that some diets restrict fruit consumption. But most diets allow for large quantities of vegetables. Capitalize on this! Set up a plate with a bountiful array of different colors and textures of vegetables and you will achieve a similar visual affect. I weighted out my portion of fruit and it came to 171 calories. Not bad at all!
